smartedge
By Derek Trotter

One of the few jobs that I hate to tackle in the garden during the spring and summer months is keeping the lawn looking tidy. Mowing the lawn isn`t too bad but when it comes to tidying up the edges it can be a real hassle. I`ve lost count of the hours I must have spent trimming the edges of the lawn with a lawn edger. You can understand my excitement then, when I came across a new type of lawn edging system. Called Smartedge, it`s already being put to good use by gardeners all around the country. This clever system fixes around the edge of the lawn and the grass actually grows through the top of it. This means that all I`d have to do is mow the lawn in the future and the edges would take care of themselves. A number of councils and stately homes have already found that the Smartedge system works wonderfully on their lawn areas. The great thing about this type of edging system is it comes in large continual lengths and this makes the installation process extremely easy. The domestic gardener can put the Smartedge system to use on their lawn and they`ll save themselves from plenty of backache in the future.
